M&S’S VALENTINE’S MEAL DEAL INCLUDES A MINI CHEESE SELECTION, PROFITEROLES AND PROSECCO ROSé

Whether you plan on celebrating with a bottle of pink fizz or keeping things a little more low-key come 14 February, you really can’t go wrong with a decadent three-course meal for two this Valentine’s Day.

Now with a whole smorgasbord of supermarket Valentine’s meal deals back on the shelves and available to grab online – whether it’s profiteroles from Sainsbury’s, a camembert starter from the Co-op or a plant-based Wellington from Asda’s menu – we really are spoilt for choice.

Marks & Spencer is selling a whole host of hampers and gifts in time for Valentine’s Day – but, if it’s the highly anticipated meal deals that have your heart racing, the supermarket has unveiled its own Valentine’s Day menu and there’s a huge number of combinations to choose from.

The selection of dishes on the Marks & Sparks menu is now available online and in-store, with a starter, main, side, dessert and drink for two. Each course includes vegetarian and vegan options, while there are boozy and non-alcoholic tipples to pair with the meal.

From how much it costs to what the menu has to offer, here’s what you can expect from the Marks and Spencer Valentine’s dine-in meal deal.

When is the M&S Valentine’s meal deal launching?

M&S’s dine-in deal for two is already available to buy online from Ocado and in M&S stores. As the offer ends on Valentine’s Day, make sure you get your orders in beforehand, to avoid missing the boat.

How much does it cost?

As much of a steal as it was last year, Marks and Spencer hasn’t changed the price of its dine-in deal for 2023. For a starter, main, side, dessert and drink for two people, it will cost £20 (£10 per head).

What’s included?

With a menu to rival other supermarkets when it comes to variety and size, there’s plenty to choose this year. Starters include prawn cocktail (£6, Ocado.com); duck parfait with orange glaze (£6, Ocado.com), and prawn tempura with sriracha mayo (£8.50, Ocado.com). If it’s vegetarian fare you’re after, there’s a choice of leek and cheese soufflé tarts (£5, Ocado.com) or a three-cheese bake (£5, Ocado.com), which sounds tempting, while the crispy tempura vegetable fritters (£2.80, Ocado.com) are vegan-friendly.

On to the main event and there are seven dishes to choose from, including rump steak with peppercorn sauce (£10, Ocado.com), herb-crusted lamb rack (£10, Ocado.com), chicken cordon bleu (£8, Ocado.com), and cod with tomato, paprika and sherry (£8.50, Ocado.com). For vegetarian options, there’s the butternut squash risotto (£7. 25, Ocado.com), and mushroom stroganoff pies (£8.25, Ocado.com), which are vegan.

M&S hasn’t scrimped on veg when it comes to side dishes, with carrots, purple sprouting broccoli and fine beans (£3, Ocado.com), asparagus spears (£3, Ocado.com), cheesy spring greens (£4.75, Ocado.com), and more to accompany the main event. Spud fans can opt for the triple-cooked chips (£2.75, Ocado.com), rosemary hasselback potatoes (£3.50, Ocado.com), and potato gratin dauphinois (£3.50, Ocado.com) instead, which we expect will be popular picks.

With seven desserts on the menu, chocoholics will be making a beeline for the chocolate melt-in-the-middle puddings (£4, Ocado.com), chocolate and orange gluten-free brownie (£4, Ocado.com), and raspberry profiterole stack (£4, Ocado.com). For vegans, there’s creamy berry pots (£4, Ocado.com), while fromage fans have the mini cheese selection (£3.25, Ocado.com) to choose.

When it comes to drinks, you can pair your meal with a number of bottles, including red and white vino and rosé prosecco (£12, Ocado.com), and elderflower sec Kombucha (£9.50, Ocado.com) or blush rose kombucha (£9.50, Ocado.com), if you are going without booze. Alternatively, swap the drinks for a box of Swiss chocolates (£5.50, Ocado.com).
