RUM, SODOMY AND THE LASH: A COCKTAIL TO FIGHT THEM ALL

Every whiskey drinker has that one friend who’s not the biggest fan of “the burn” but always somehow have some sort of strong drink in hand. On World Whiskey Day, invite them over and make them this Rum, sodomy and the lash cocktail. Yes, the name is rough and the flavours come from everywhere, but it’s surprisingly balanced and fun to drink. Combining Pogues Irish Whiskey with it’s softened malty flavours with the sweetness and strength of Navy rum along with a hint of chili, you’re in for a fun night.

This drink isn’t necessarily for your fanciest parties and friends but when you’re holding onto the handle of your ice cold pewter tankard along with your friends, the laughter and stories will warm your soul. Both the whiskey and especially the 57% abv rum. can be intense, so the citrus will add some acidity to balance out the sweetness that’s also provided by the agave syrup. The chili and aromatic garnish will provide an extra sense of freshness.
