What's better than a pasta dish? A basic recipe from Italian cuisine. Cooking your pasta is not always an easy task: the cooking time, the addition of olive oil or butter, what volume of water for what volume of pasta? Pasta requires a large volume of salted water; the recipe is very easy. Today we are going to use long pasta (spaghetti), but the quantities will be exactly the same for short pasta; only the cooking time will vary.
Start by boiling your water over high heat in a large saucepan.
When the water boils, add salt.
Immerse your pasta in boiling water, stir with a spatula, and count between 8 (al dente) to 10 minutes (cooked) when boiling resumes.
All you have to do is drain your pasta, and it's ready!
