For a simple, light and tasty dinner, there's nothing like a good baked mackerel! Accompanied by melting potatoes and herbes de Provence, this dish is a real treat, as well as being super-healthy :-) Let yourself be tempted by this quick and easy recipe, just follow the steps below ↓↓
Cut the potato as thinly as possible using a mandolin. Thinly slice the shallot and lemon. Crush the garlic.
Drizzle olive oil over bottom of gratin dish. Place the potato slices on top. Drizzle more olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper.
Place the cleaned mackerel fillets on top and add a final drizzle of oil. *Some bones will be easier to remove after cooking. Locate the parts to be removed before cooking the mackerel.
Add the thin slices of shallot, garlic and season with salt, pepper and herbes de Provence.
Place lemon slices on top.
Bake for 12 minutes in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C).
